History of Gaston Regional Chamber

Throughout North Carolina's history, Gaston County has been a business and industry leader, with a tradition of hard work and commitment to progress. We're leading the state today in attracting new and innovative business, and forging dynamic public/private partnerships.

Since 1913, when a group of community leaders led by Thomas L. Craig as the Chairman of the Board saw the need to organize the business community, the Gaston Regional Chamber has been connecting business. Operating under the name "Board of Trade" the Chamber had 190 charter members.

Today, the Chamber serves Gaston County by working to create and retain jobs, provide a voice for business, support a skilled workforce, and provide networking opportunities for our members.
