Every other month, the Chamber hosts First Friday Focus, where issues and activities of the entire Gaston County region from a business perspective are discussed.

The March First Friday Focus presented by CaroMont Health will feature Gaston County's NC House members, Rep. John Torbett and Rep. Kelly Hastings, who will give an update on legislation affecting our business community as well as a glimpse of the Summer, 2012 Session and what we can expect.
 
Rep. Torbett serves as Chairman of the House Select Committee on Certificate of Need and Vice Chair of Homeland Security.   Rep. Hastings serves as Vice Chair of the House Banking Committee and Chair of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Alternative Fuel.  
 
Also featured on our agenda is visiting member, Rep. Mike Hager, Chair of the House Public Utilities Committee and the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Alternative Fuel.  Rep. Hager will discuss how changes in energy policy can create jobs!
